California Evening Sky

Along the California coastline, at the tip of the Monterey Peninsula, is a big show that comes on every evening in the summer and fall. You don’t need a television to see it. You just have to be there in person. You can see there is something that will happen soon because people start to gather along the rocky coastline. Sometimes, if the tide is low, you can walk out pretty far, as if the farther you walk the closer you will be to this show! But that doesn’t matter. We can all see very well the sun is about to set and the area becomes a light pink; the little lighthouse nearby has that glow in the twilight. The pink turns a light lavendar and then the golden clouds show up as the sun goes lower behind the horizon.  The sun gives a last bow to the audience and it is done for the day.

    • Thanks! Yes, this cloud cover looks quite dramatic I think. Right now the clouds may not be so low because August and September will start being the warmer months for that area. Thank you for your nice comment!
